Professional audiovisual equipment spends just as much time travelling as it does in use.
However, every journey ends in a moment of “I hope my equipment is okay”. Damage in transit, missing items, or misplaced items will only slow down the project on the other side.
That’s why it’s important to have a proper storage solution. A solution that’s built around your kit and something that can protect even the most sensitive production equipment.
Custom foam inserts are a quality option. Our most recent project created a foam solution built around our clients’ goals, ensuring their equipment remained protected during transportation.
Every Event Starts with the Right Equipment
On event day, there’s nothing worse than hunting for a missing receiver or untangling a cable that has gotten mixed up due to a loose case.
Custom foam helps eliminate this issue. It gives every piece of equipment and every cable a home, ensuring it can be stored, retrieved, and used quickly.
As a result, it reduces setup times, speeds up pack-down, improves equipment retrieval, and protects expensive electronics as you move between locations.
Custom-cut foam created to protect professional audiovisual equipment.
Designed Around Every Piece of Equipment
Every custom foam insert is exactly that, custom. They’re built around your equipment and storage needs, not the other way around.
That’s why it can store all event equipment, including:
- Wireless microphones
- Audio processors
- Video equipment
- Cameras
- Lighting controllers
- Control equipment
- Accessories
- Cables and connectors
- Bespoke electronic devices
- Receivers and transmitters
Adding to this, laser engraving can be used to improve the identification of specific equipment.
Why Custom Foam Makes Sense for AV Equipment
AV gear is expensive, delicate, and often irreplaceable at short notice, which is why custom foam makes sense.
Using such foam can:
- Protect delicate electronics from knocks and vibrations
- Prevents equipment movement during transportation
- Reduces accidental damage
- Make inventory checks quicker
- Improve organisation across every case
- Speeds up loading and unloading
- Presents equipment professionally
- Extends the lifespan of the costly kit
Built for Life on the Move
While our recent project was created for an AV company, the same approach applies anywhere for delicate and high-value equipment.
It can be used for equipment like:
Corporate events
Conferences
Exhibitions
Concerts
Weddings
Live productions
Equipment hire companies
Touring productions
Custom foam is built for that reality, fitting neatly into flight cases, road cases, and other protective transport cases, as well as equipment racks and wider storage systems.
Not Just for the Events Industry
- Broadcast equipment
- Medical equipment
- Scientific instruments
- Inspection equipment
- Testing equipment
- Electronics manufacturing
- Demonstration and exhibition kits
How it's made?
Each project starts with a CAD-based design, which captures the exact dimensions of every item before a single cut is made. From there, precision CNC machining produces a clean, complex cut that is millimetre-accurate.
The foam used depends on your goals. Anti-static foam, for example, can be selected. Multi-layer foam with different depths and colours can be chosen. Laser engraving can even be added to improve identification.
Due to CAD-based design and CNC-cutting, all custom foam inserts can be mass-produced, making them an ideal solution for full production teams.
Designed Around Your Equipment
Every project starts with your equipment. Nothing is off-the-shelf, and everything is custom-made to fulfil your demands.
Therefore, whether you want to create an entire fleet of cases or just a single storage unit, feel free to contact us to see how we can build a solution for you.
FAQs
Yes. Because every insert is built around your specific items, equipment from multiple brands can be laid out together in a single case.
It will. Inserts are cut to the exact internal dimension of your cases, so there’s no need to buy new ones.
Yes. We can specify different types of foam, like anti-static foam for sensitive components or water- and impact- resistant options.
We can. Once the design is finished, the same inserts can be produced repeatably and meet identical standards.
